After Effects Basic Animation (Opacity)

If we want to animate Opacity of a layer in example a layer appear and disappear while the video playing we must animate it.
Click on the layer you want to
animate and press the  key T .This shortcut bring us the Opacity values of the layer.From the drop down menu click on the stopwatch and change the values of Opacity ( 0% to 100%) .If you select opacity 0% the layer will be invisible.Now move your timeline few  frames forward for example 30 frames(is about 1 second) and then change the opacity value to 100%.
Press Space button to preview your animation.You can do the opposite for the opposite result.Layer with 100% Opcacity turn invisible after 1 second.
Tip:If you want to change faster the values of many frames you can jump between keyframes using keys J and K.
