After Effects Basic Animation (Position)

After Effects Basic Animation (Position)

With  Home and End key timeline goes at very start or at  the end of the composition.
Click on a layer to select it and then press key P .   A drop  down
menu will appear.Click on the stopwatch (little clock) and a keyframe will  insert. You can see a small yellow symbol in timeline.By this way the layer we have selected have a keyframe at the current position. We now need to move the timeline and go forward some frames.Keep in mind that time is based on frames. If you are working on 25 frames project   then 1 second is 25 frames ,2 seconds are 50 frames and 3 seconds are 75 frames. If you are working at 30 frames project the time will be 1sec 30 frames ,2 seconds 60 frames and so on.When you create an animation instead of video you can work at 12 frames too.
Go forward at the timeline 3 seconds or in example 90 frames.Move the layer inside your composition. The keyframe will be inserted automatic because we choose the automatic method by clicking the stopwatch.
Now press the space bar and watch the layer moving as you did it.
