After Effects Basic Animation (Scale)

After Effects Basic Animation (Scale)

Click on the layer you want to animate to select it.Then press the key S .From the drop down menu change the values of the scale. X is the width and Y the height.By change
one value you can  see the layer will scale up or down but it is keeping the aspect ratio. For example will be 120x120% or 80x80% .If you dont want to keep the aspect ratio and scale the layer like 120x80% you must click on the lock aspect ratio button (is like 8 rotated at 90 Constrain Proportions).
Click  on the stopwatch of the scale and play with the values.Select a point in the timeline and change value or click on a keyframe to add it.Then move your timeline forward or backward and change the value. When you finish go at the very first frame of the composition and press Space to see your animation.
